Put amount of rice you are wanting to make into strainer, rinse until clear.
After the rice is rinsed, just plop it into the rice cooker/pressure cooker.
Pour appropriate amount of chicken broth over rice, making sure to submerge fully.
Put lid on, set to rice function if you device has one and let it do it’s thang.
Once the timer goes off, if using a pressure cooker, let sit for 10 minutes before removing lid to ensure it’s fully cooked. THIS IS AN IMPORTNAT STEP!
Once the 10 minutes of letting rest is up, release steam, open and serve.
I use an instant pot, I use the rice function and it takes roughly 25-30 minutes total.

I know cooking rice is the most simple thing you can cook, but I know most people typically just use water as their liquid source. I started using chicken broth many years and have never looked back. I can make jasmine rice and just eat it out of a bowl, plain, no salt or pepper even. The chicken broth truly adds SO much flavor I’ll never cook rice with water again.
This rice recipe goes well with any Asian inspired dish including my chicken teriyaki recipe.
I also have used it for Mexican inspired dishes, with hearty casseroles and just as a simple rice side with a nice salmon filet.
If you have no ingredients on hand, this rice recipe will only cost you around: $4.72
Cost breakdown:
Jasmine rice- $3.22
Chicken broth- $1.50
